Description

USING THE CLIP

Create a back-up of your /wp-content/clips directory before making changes.

Visit Admin > Settings > Clips Control and click on ‘Edit with WP Plugin Editor’ in the Clip’s meta (only Clips displaying this link can be edited using this feature).

A temporary copy of the Clip is created in the WP Clips plugin folder and the default plugin editor is launched, displaying all editable files.

Here you can –

Edit temporary Clip files. Always edit with care as poor syntax may result in site errors.

Save edits to the temporary Clip files by clicking Update File.

Apply edits to the native Clip by returning to the dashboard.

NOTES

The editor will be disabled if –

– WP Clips is installed as a must-use (mu-) plugin;
– the current user is not an administrator;
– the Clip is unclipped; or
– the plugin/theme editors are disabled

Edits are applied only upon exiting WP Plugin Editor.
