ALWAYS BACK-UP the plugin before updating or upgrading, and carefully follow the instructions below. Note that must use (mu-) plugin installations require manual updating.
Upgrading from Version 1 to Version 3.
Upgrading from Version 1 to 2 is required before upgrading to Version 3.
DO NOT DELETE the plugin folder, Clips or precoded folders as this will permanently delete your customizations.

Click here to download WP Clips Multisite Version 2. - Go to Settings > Clips in WordPress admin and install the new version via ‘WP Clips Control’; OR unzip the update and manually upload/replace only those files/folders included in the new plugin folder (via FTP or file manager).
- Proceed with the upgrade to Version 3.
Upgrading from Version 2 to Version 3.

- Install the file upgrader to make your files compatible with version 3. For single sites, go to Admin > Settings > Clips or upload to the wp-content/clips/precoded/ directory. For networks, go to Network Admin > Settings > Network Clips or upload to the wp-content/clips/network/precoded/ directory.
Note: The vitals.php file is deprecated in version 3. Any declarations made in vitals files (e.g. theme and plugin dependencies) must be manually transferred to data headers in the custom-functions.php file. Click here for information on customizing header protocols.
Updating/reinstalling from Version 3.
Your Clips are completely safe from WP Clips plugin updates and reinstalls.

Note: If your customizations include translatable text, be sure to update the languages/wp-clips.pot file with your preferred translation plugin.
